The Gran Paradiso is a wonderful granite massif located in the Graie Alps, in the N-W end of Italy, between Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta. Inside there is the highest peak of a completely Italian mountain massif, the Gran Paradiso (4061 m).

What makes this territory unique is its wonderful nature of high altitude, within which the Ibex, the symbol of this territory, runs free. For this reason in 1922, 100 years ago, he came established the Gran Paradiso National Park, the first natural park of Italy.

Last but not least, the Gran Paradiso has a rich and noble history, a history that has made these mountains to all intents and purposes the "mountains of the Kings of Italy". Testimony of these historical events is the formidable network of Royal Hunting Roads. Dirt and stone roads built by the people of the Gran Paradiso to facilitate the ancient hunts of the Kings. Today these roads are wonderful routes in the very high altitude and nature of the Gran Paradiso and every two years they form the race course of the Royal Ultra Sky Marathon Gran Paradiso.
